Fundraising

Why get involved?

• Our modest subscription fees contribute to the running of our Scout Groups weekly programmes, but improving and replacing resources and equipment takes additional fundraising.
• It is good for us as a group and Scouting as a whole to have a strong profile in the community, particularly as statutory services for young people are rapidly disappearing.
• All children and leaders in the group promise to “do a good turn every day”. It is important that you, as parents, model this Scouting ethos so your children can follow more easily.
• It’s fun! We at 1st Bersted are a friendly bunch, and Scouting is so much more than a club that you send your child to once a week; it’s a friendly, supportive community so come and join us!

How can you help? 

You can help in many different ways and give as much or as little time as you have. This could be helping out at events, baking a cake, doing something for sponsorship or making something we can sell or raffle.
